ROCKFORD POLICE CHAPLAINS

 

Rockford Police Department's Chaplains has many functions.  A primary function is to provide support and assistance to police officers, firefighters, other City employees and their families during times of crisis. 

The confidential assistance of a Police Chaplain is available to all officers and firefighters 24-hours a day.  Another primary function is to assist police officers and firefighters with victim's families during calls for service involving a death and/or serious injury.  The Chaplain Section also assists people in need of such services as food, shelter and transportation.

 

The Chaplain Section consists of the Head Chaplain, a Personal Services Officer, an Outreach Worker and 28 volunteer Duty Chaplains.
