Illinois Great Rivers Ride
The Illinois Great Rivers Ride will be held September 11, 2005. The bike excursion will start near the YMCA in Rockord on September 11th and end at Pere Marquette State Park on the 18th. The route follows public roads and bike paths along and near the Rock River and Mississippi River.

The Rockford Ski Broncs is Rockford’s world-class waterski team that performs on the beautiful Rock River every Wednesday and Friday from June until September.
Rockford Speedway
The Rockford Speedway is a quarter mile, high-banked, asphalt race track with fan friendly grandstand seating on both sides. In addition to the NASCAR sanctioned Weekly Racing Series, the facility is used for circuses, concerts, car shows, sporting events, swap meets, outdoor sales and numerous community fundraising events.
Searles Park/BMX Race Course
Rockford BMX is an ABA Sanctioned Racing Facility. It was ranked the #2 track in the Central Division and the #8 track in the U.S by Transworld BMX magazine in 2002.
Sportscore One
Sportscore One is a 105-acre soccer and baseball complex with 8 lighted softball diamonds, 8 regulation soccer fields, 11 practice soccer fields, 9 sand volleyball pits, 2 permanent concessions with restrooms, 2 playgrounds, a soccer center building, boat ramps, fishing and a recreational path. It host dozens of tournaments each summer. It is adjacent to the Rock River in northwest Rockford.
Sportscore Two
Sportscore Two is a 124-acre site, that includes the Russell E. Wedgbury Stadium and the adjacent outdoor sports fields that offer a total of 32 playing fields. Recreational activities include soccer, rugby, football, volleyball (hard court), golf, basketball, in-line hockey, badminton, and adapted and wheelchair sports. It is adjacent to I-90 on Rockford’s northeast side.
