Police report summaries are available from the Record’s Center five working days after an incident has been reported. Requests may be made in person or by mail. The Record's Center is located on the second floor of the Winnebago County Public Safety Building - 420 West State St., Rockford, IL 61101.

Price Increases for Department Services:
Effective January 1, 2010, a price increase will go into effect for Records Center services. The change is the result of a continued rise in material and labor costs and is the first in several years. The increase parallels other Illinois police departments and is consistent with state law.

Accident Report Requests:
A copy of accident reports are available from the Records Center five working days after the crash has been reported. Requests may be made in person or by mail. There is a $5.00 fee per copy. Checks must be made out to the City of Rockford. The Record's Center is located on the second floor of the Winnebago County Public Safety Building - 420 West State St., Rockford, IL 61101.

Reports are also available for purchase on-line at http://www.docview.us.com/ for $11.00 per report. On-line reports are available for purchase twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) forms are available at the Record’s Center and can be obtained in person during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 A.M. a.m. to 4 P.M. or click on the link below to download a form.
