Biography:
Nancy Johnson was first elected to the City Council in 1993 and is serving her fourth term.  She was born in San Diego, California, but is a graduate of East High School in Rockford.

Nancy is a member of Zion Lutheran Church and is active with the Downtown Rotary and the Northern Illinois Blood Bank.

Alderman Johnson serves on the board of the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and is the first woman elected to the City Council from the 8th Ward.

Nancy has an adult son and her mother, Mary Anderson, was the first grade teacher of former Mayor Doug Scott.
