Serving Winnebago and Boone Counties, the Weatherization Program provides income eligible households free energy audits and upgrades to increase the energy efficiency of their homes while reducing energy costs.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program, households must be income qualified and live within the dwelling they are applying to weatherize. Dwellings cannot have been weatherized in the past 16 years and must meet safety requirements set for our staff.
Weatherization Waitlist
Our weatherization program works with a priority based waitlist. Many households spend over two years on this list, but it is a necessary step in applying. To join the waitlist for weatherization, please fill out a preapplication through the State of Illinois Weatherization Page
