You will be billed for garbage removal on your water bill each month. Staff will investigate the situation to determine whether or not the location will be safe for both the vehicle parking there as well as for the vehicles using the street.

The majority of street lights in Rockford's residential areas are on wood poles and are serviced by Commonwealth Edison. To request repairs to one of these street lights, please call 1-800-Edison-1. 800-334-7661. The majority of street lights located on Rockford's arterial routes are on metal poles and are serviced by City crews. To request repairs to one of these street lights, please call the Engineering Division at 779-348-7174. You may also submit an online Service Request form.

Contact the Traffic Engineering Division at 779-348-7173. These types of requests must be brought before the Traffic Commission for approval. This can be done by submitting the request in writing to the Traffic Division, Department of Public Works, 425 E State Street, Rockford, IL 61104. The request will be researched and forwarded to the next Traffic Commission Meeting which convenes on the second Wednesday of every month.
