Strangulation Support Services

We know asking for help is a big decision. Being strangled is very dangerous and can cause serious injuries, even if you don’t feel them right away. Seeing a doctor is important.

If your partner has strangled you, research shows you are 750% more likely to be killed by them. Your safety and well-being matter. You are not alone.

The Mayor’s Office of Domestic and Community Violence Prevention, along with our community partners, is here to help. This page has information about strangulation and support services. You are in control of your next steps, and many people in our community are ready to support you.
